Network Outage Mostly Resolved

The network was upgraded this morning which caused some network outages. Most of the issues have been resolved. At this time, only wired network connections in the student housing buildings on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses are unavailable. We are continuing to work to resolve the issue and send an update 12:00 pm.

All the wireless networks are working including in student housing.

Blackboard Upgrade

Blackboard will be UNAVAILABLE  from 11:00 pm December 18th  until 6:00 am December 19th while the database is upgraded.

Blackboard unavailable 3-4am Wednesday, Nov 30 due to emergency maintenance

Blackboard will be unavailable tomorrow morning (Wednesday, November 30) from approximately 3:00-4:00 am. This downtime is necessary in order for us to install a patch recommended by Blackboard to help ensure a smoother experience with online tests as we enter the final exam period. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Blackboard Collab Service Interruption

One of the Blackboard Collaboration servers (BBC1) became unresponsive at approximately 4:11pm today.  It has been restarted and Collaboration has resumed proper operation.

Network Issues with 10.50.64.x

We are currently experiencing issues with the 10.50.64.x network.  The Systems and Networking teams are currently investigating and we shall provide additional information as it is available.

WebFOCUS Production services will be stopped on Sunday morning

The WebFOCUS production box was stopped at 12:15 am this morning and was restarted again at 8:23 am.  ReportCaster is currently runing all scheduled jobs that were not run during this period.

IRM Systems Maintenance, Thursday, October 20 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deem necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 10/20/2011 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during IRM maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Affected Service: Talisma
Affected Systems: TALDB01, TALAPP01, TALAPP02
Description of Maintenance: Talisma will be offline while a hotfix is installed to fix an outgoing email error.
Service Interruption: 4 hours

When: 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM
Affected Service: Blackboard
Affected Systems: bbm1, bba1, bba2, bba3, bba4, bba5, bba6, bbc1, bbc2, bbx1, bbx2, bb.fau.edu, blackboard.fau.edu
Description of Maintenance:
           Apply the following patch: LRNSI-4851 – Student receives Access Denied message in assessment when clicking Save and Submit simultaneously with autosave form and Students can change local       clock to cheat on timed, forced submission tests
         NFS Security Changes
Service Interruption: Yes, Blackboard will be unavailable while patch is being applied.
