carrier outage to remote FAU campus locations
At 11:47 AM today, (9/21/2011) the FAU network experienced a 60 second drop in the Metro Ethernet connectivity to all of the campus locations. Full connectivity has been restored and we are working with the carrier to determine the reason for the drop in service.

Phone Mail Upgrade Monday, Sept. 19
Communication Services Infrastructure will be replacing Phonemail on all FAU campuses with the Xpressions voicemail system on Monday, Sept. 19. If you are already using the new Xpressions voicemail system you may disregard this message.
The timeline on Sept. 19 is as follows: 4 p.m. All messages in Phonemail will be deleted. This includes messages that have been saved and/or not listened to. It is strongly recommended that you review all messages before 4 p.m. as deleted messages cannot be retrieved. Please see “Saying Goodbye to Phonemail” below for details. 4 p.m. to Midnight The system will be disconnected and all information you have not retrieved will be lost. No new messages will be accepted.

MyFAU restart – Monday, 9/12/11
MyFAU system will be restarted between the hours of 6:00AM to 7:00AM on Monday 9/12/2011 in order to complete configuration of Owl Apps. There will be minimal impact on users during this time; however, there is a slight possibility that users will be disconnected should they remain on MyFAU.

Switching Exchange Databases

Treasure Coast Campus Maintenance
Due to a failing UPS, Networking will be doing maintenance on the Treasure Coast Campus during our maintenance window from 5:00am – 7:00am 08/30/2011. There will be a disruption of data and voice services during this time for Treasure Coast Campus only.

Students are now able to register their hardware mac address on the wired network in the residential areas.

Network changes scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, 2011 have been completed.
Additional changes and testing will continue on Wednesday, August 17, and Friday, August 19, between 12:01 am and 7:00 am.
