MyFAU restart – Monday, 9/12/11
MyFAU system will be restarted between the hours of 6:00AM to 7:00AM on Monday 9/12/2011 in order to complete configuration of Owl Apps. There will be minimal impact on users during this time; however, there is a slight possibility that users will be disconnected should they remain on MyFAU.

Switching Exchange Databases
We are switching Exchange databases as a precaution. There might be a brief disconnect and reconnect. There will be no data loss during the switch. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Treasure Coast Campus Maintenance
Due to a failing UPS, Networking will be doing maintenance on the Treasure Coast Campus during our maintenance window from 5:00am – 7:00am 08/30/2011. There will be a disruption of data and voice services during this time for Treasure Coast Campus only.
Resolved – Network registration issue in student resident areas – wired network
Network: Resolved – Wired network registration issue in student resident areas.
Students are now able to register their hardware mac address on the wired network in the residential areas.

Update – Network upgrades during semester break.
Network changes scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, 2011 have been completed.
Additional changes and testing will continue on Wednesday, August 17, and Friday, August 19, between 12:01 am and 7:00 am. This upgrade will cause intermittent interruptions to the network and telephone systems across all FAU campus locations Please be advised that calls between campuses as well as off campus calls may require dialing a seven or ten digit number. SafeAssign in Blackboard unavailable 8/13/11 from 8am-12pm
The SafeAssign service in Blackboard will be unavailable on Saturday, August 13 from 8:00am-12:00pm due to system maintenance. Users will not be able to submit papers through SafeAssign during the planned downtime and will receive an error message if they attempt to do so. SafeAssign Originality Reports will not be available to Instructors or Students during the planned downtime, nor will Instructors be able to access SafeAssign DirectSubmit.

Planned Harbor Branch campus network outage due to new construction
There will be a planned network outage on the Harbor Branch campus starting tomorrow and continuing through this weekend. Estimated Buildings affected and downtime are the following. Building numbers 30,33,and 27 network and telephones down 12 hours on Friday. All Harbor Branch systems and network services down Saturday, 12 hours.
