Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 07/08/2021 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: OIT will upgrade the software and certificate on the wireless controllers to enhance the end user experience.

Description of change: ​OIT will be performing maintenance on the voice servers between 9:00 PM on June 30th to 2:00 AM July 1st. Phones may have brief connectivity issues.

Affected services: Cisco phones
Expected End-user impact: ​Cisco Phones will experience a brief 30 second outage during the maintenance window.

Description of change: ​OIT will be performing maintenance on its spam filters on July 1st between 3am and 4am. Mail delivery may be impacted during this window.

Brief Network Maintenance Affecting SSO Tonight (June 29th at 12:00 a.m.)

OIT will be performing brief network maintenance tonight at midnight (June 29th at 12:00a.m.) that may affect SSO logins. These logins may be briefly unavailable or slow for a few minutes during the maintenance. If issues are encountered, please try again in a couple of minutes.

[Resolved] Apps.fau.edu intermittent logon issues on 6/28/21 from 11AM-12PM

Citrix will be troubleshooting connectivity issues within the remote apps environment (apps.fau.edu) between 11AM and 12PM today. While we work to isolate the issue, users may experience occasional logon issues while using the apps.fau.edu web portal, or the Citrix Workspace app.

Storage Maintenance
Description of change: ​OIT will be performing maintenance on some backend storage. No end user impact is anticipated.
Downtime window start: 6/24/2021 3:30 AM
Downtime window end: 6/24/2021 6:30 AM
Affected services: ​No downtime is expected but there is a potential to affect:
All services dependent on NetApp storage
all VM’s on Hyper-V, all VM’s on Vmware. VM hosts may see a pause in data transfer while a node is failing over and back
Some of the major services, but not limited to are:
Banner, OIM, Andi Shares, Ibiweb, MSSQL databases and services dependent on those, Network Registration, Grouper, Owlapps, Edocs, Papercut
Expected End-user impact: No end-user impact is expected

Update Forms Server User Accounts
Description of change: OIT will be updating the notification preferences for a number of user accounts in Frevvo.
Downtime window start: 6/24/2021 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6/24/2021 7:00 AM
Affected services: Some forms server accounts will be modified. There is no anticipated interruption of service.
Expected End-user impact: No end user impact is expected during this time. After the change, a number of users will have their notification preferences updated

Redcap BugFix Upgrade
Description of change: Research Computing will be upgrading Redcap to the latest long term release. This update fixes one major bug and several minor bugs the correct issues cloning and summarizing projects.
Downtime window start: 6/17/2021 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6/17/2021 6:05 AM
Affected services: Redcap​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, Redcap will go offline for a few seconds. Users will receive a warning message stating that Redcap is offline.

[NETWORK MAINTENANCE] Jupiter and Boca Raton – Saturday June 5th from 12:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m.

OIT will be performing maintenance on core network equipment on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses on Saturday June 5th from 12:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. During this time there will be a series of momentary disruptions to network traffic on the Jupiter and Boca Raton campuses. Connectivity to and from the internet as well as connectivity to campus network resources will be impacted during this maintenance window.

Owlpulse and Redcap are currently offline due to an issue with the database server. OIT is investigating the issue and will update regularly.
