Network Notice – Degraded Internet Performance

FAU’s primary internet connection is unavailable due to a possible fiber cut beyond FAU’s control. FAU is currently operating over a slower, secondary connection. All services are currently available, but network speeds to the internet will be slower than normal until FAU’s primary internet connection is restored.

Single Sign On Upgrade

The Single Sign system on will be upgraded Friday August 19th from 3 am –  6 am to improve system performance. During this time users may experience reduced performance when logging into some services.

Talisma Upgrade 10.X – 8/19/16 – 8/22/16

OIT will be upgrading the Talisma CRM system from version 8.6 to 10.x starting on Friday, August 19 at 7:00PM. The estimated completion time for the upgrade is set for Monday, August 22 at 7:00AM.

Talisma CRM will be unavailable during this time.

[RESOLVED] Online Helpdesk System Unavailable

The issue has been resolved and the Online help desk system is back online.

[RESOLVED] OIT File Server Migration (ANDI drives) still going

UPDATE 8:10AM

The migration has been completed and all ANDI drives are functioning as normal again. You may need to log off and back on in order for the drive to properly map.

We are still working on the migration of the ANDI drives. We will post another update at 8:30am.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Aug 4 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 08/04/2016 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

OIT File Server Migration (ANDI drives)
When: 5:00AM – 5:30AM
Affected services: All file shares on fauandi1 and fauandi2
Affected systems: fauandi1, fauandi2
Description of maintenance: OIT will be migrating the fauandi1 and fauandi2 file servers to new hardware.​​
User impact: Existing mapped network drives pointing at fauandi1 and fauandi2 may become unmapped. Logging off and back on will map the drives again.

SSO Maintenance

We are experiencing minor performance issues on the original single sign on servers affecting logins to Reports.fau.edu, Student On Boarding, Banner Self Service and other central authentication services. We are currently rebooting the servers to increase their performance.
