We will be doing upgrades to network switches in the Unix racks in Computing Center, Room 102 during our maintenance window (5:00am-7:00am) tomorrow morning (Tuesday, June 7, 2011). The following systems will be affected.
RU03 – switch boc22cm102sw822 – config changes, CATOS upgrade, reboot
RU04 – switch boc22cm102sw821 – config changes only RU04 – switch boc22cm102fsw836 – config changes, IOS upgrade, reboot
RU06 – switch boc22cm102sw830 – config changes only
**Update** The Power supply replacements for the Tipping Point IPS has been completed. We have verified that there is Internet connectivity.
Please be advised that an emergency hardware replacement will take place tomorrow morning , June 07, 2011 between 6:00 am and 7:00 am to replace a failing component in the core Tipping Point IPS device. This hardware replacement may cause a brief disruption (approximately 5 minutes) to FAU Internet traffic. If you experience network difficulties after this time, please contact the FAU help desk at http://www.fau.edu/helpdesk/ for immediate assistance.
The ANDI server is currently unresponsive and as a result access to shares are not working. Expected reboot time is about five minutes.
On Wednesday June 8th from 5:00am till 7:00am CSI will be performing telephone system maintenance that will interrupt telephone service on the Jupiter Campus. Other Northern campuses may experience intermittent outages. All off campus calls originating from the Northern campuses may require dialing a seven or ten digit number for all off campus calls. If you are trying to reach the Northern campuses, the ten digit number might be required. In the event of an emergency the FAU police department can be reached at 561-297-3500 by using a cellular or other non-FAU phone, and local police can be reached by Dialing 911 from a cellular or other non-FAU-phone.
