Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/18/2019 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: OIT will be applying the latest Oracle quarterly patch updates to the production ​databases.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM

Affected services: Banner production, Oracle Identity Manager production, Appworx production, IEA warehouse
Affected systems: Banner, Oracle databases
Expected End-user impact: During this time, services that listed above will be unavailable at times during the maintenance window.​

Description of change: OIT will be replacing the HPC.fau.edu DNS infrastructure​

Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: hpc.fau.edu only​
Affected systems: hpc servers including koko, kokosec
Expected End-user impact: During this time, DNS settings may change for a short time while we perform the forced update to sync time to live.

Description of change: OIT will be Installing Windows Management Framework 5.1, Powershell 5, and .NET 4.7.1 on nodes associated with the boc22mssqloit SQL cluster​

Affected services: Any services using boc22mssqloit as a data source.​
Affected systems: MS SQL server ​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, services using this data source may go offline during restarts​.

SSO Upgrade
Description of change: OIT will upgrade the ​prompting system in the Single Sign On System so users of slower services do not see the continue button if they do not have any tasks to complete. OIT is also introducing prompts for student 2Factor enrollment.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 5:00 AM
Affected services: All Systems that user SSO including Canvas, Workday, and others.
Affected systems: Shibboleth servers
Expected End-user impact: During this time, single sign on may stop working for 10 – 15 minutes while we redeploy the prompting service.

MyFAU MyInfo Upgrade
Description of change:  OIT will update the Znumber channel in MyFAU to provide more detailed information about the student to decrease help desk calls. ​

Expected End-user impact: During this time, the channel will go offline for 60 seconds. ​

Description of change: OIT is applying changes to UAchieves to resolve a production issue where it shows certain students have been exempt from the Civics Literacy Test when they actually have not.  This will involve restarting UAchieves.

Affected services: UAchieves – Audit functionality
Affected systems: UAchieves
Expected End-user impact: During this time, user may not be able to run Audits during restart.
