OIT Systems Maintenance – Thursday, Jan 23 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 01/23/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Two Factor Enrollment Update
Description of change: OIT will be updating the Single Sign On System’s 2Factor prompt to direct users to the Employee or Student enrollment page when accessing services such as Self Service and Workday if the user has not yet enrolled in 2Factor. Currently they are forced to enroll through the authentication Single Sign on System. This change will make sure users select their 2Factor preference and place them in the Duo Student group more reliably. ​

Affected services: Single Sign On, Duo 2Factor​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users who access 2Factor services that force 2factor prompting (Workday, self service, etc.) will be directed to enroll in 2Factor by clicking one of two links at the bottom of the authentication page.

Windows configuration and deployment system upgrade  (SCCM)
Description of change: OIT will be updating SCCM, the system providing configuration, deployment and updates to Windows clients to the latest version​
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: The system providing configuration, deployment and updates to Windows clients will be upgraded to the latest version​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, all OS deployments, app installs, windows updates from SCCM will be unavailable during the window​

Server maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be updating the web server components of VIP to comply with security policies​

Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: VIP Content Management System​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users will be unable to load documents from the VIP content management system​

Banner Integration
Description of change: ​OIT will be applying a new integration among three systems Banner, Medprocter (Immunization Office application) and Florida Shots(State immunization database)​.
The process has an outbound and inbound file between Banner and Medprocter.  The outbound file from banner to Medprocter contains all active students who has an IM hold.  The inbound file from Medprocter to Banner contains students who have met their immunization requirements and their IM hold will be released in Banner via this process (this includes and audit table to track an errors that may occur).
There is also an integration between Banner and Florida Shots to retrieve the FloridaShots ID for students who have an IM hold.  This FloridaShots ID is sent in the outbound file from Banner to Medprocter.

Update to application load process for parent residency field
Description of change:  OIT will apply an update to correct incorrect parent residency values on a few previously submitted undergraduate applications due to a bug in the application loading procedure. It also fixes the logic used to load and calculate the parent residency field to prevent this error on new applications.
