Password Synchronization is now working.

Between 3:00 PM and 6:30 pm Microsoft Exchange 2010 users experienced problems checking their email using Outlook, Mac Mail.app, Webmail and Mobile devices.

All email has been delivered and the systems are now accessible.

* Please note that we have had no reports of Microsoft Exchange 2007 users having difficulty.

The wireless dhcp servers were unavailable from 3:00 am until 7:30 am. We have corrected the problem and implemented a solution that will prevent it in the future.

The Talisma servers used by Undergraduate Admissions will be unavailable between 10:30 am and 12 noon.

During this period we will be applying 3 vendor supplied patches to correct a critical problem that prevents the sending of outbound emails. No other systems will be affected by this downtime.

Passwords are currently not synchronizing between MyFAU and Microsoft Windows. We are investigating and will update this post at or before 9 pm.

9 pm update: We have identified that the problem is related to DNS. We are now attempting to restart the password synchronization service. We will update this post at or before 10pm.

10 pm update: Passwords are again synchronizing between MyFAU and Microsoft Windows. We will contact all users whose passwords failed to synchronize on Tuesday morning to repair their accounts.

IRM is currently experiencing intermittent network problems . We are working on the issue but do not have an estimated time of resolution.
