Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 8/10/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. We will be changing the way email is routed from our on-premises servers.​

Expected End-user impact:  During this time, minimal impact on users is expected. Sending an email through our on-premises exchange transport servers may fail when the service is restarted. Office 365 will not be affected.

The Office of Information technology will be making small adjustments to the login system to improve usability and reliability

DARS degree auditing system upgrade

On Tuesday, July 25th at 11pm we will begin upgrading the DARS degree auditing system to UAchieve Self-Service.  During this time users will not be able to submit audits through Banner Self-Service.  The upgrade will be complete by 8am Wednesday, July 26th.  After the upgrade, the DARS degree audit link in Banner Self-Service will begin forwarding users to UAchieve Self-Service.

Affected systems:  BigIP, shibboleth1p.fau.edu, shibboleth2p.fau.edu

Description of change:  We are moving the server named cuttlefish to a different network more suited for its use.​

Network Maintenance – Boca Raton and HBOI Campuses – Friday July 14th from 4:00 until 7:00 a.m.

OIT will be performing network maintenance on the Boca Raton and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute campuses from 4:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. Maintenance at Harbor Branch campus is expected to be completed before 5:00 a.m. During the maintenance window, connectivity will be sporadic including 10-15 minute outages affecting network services and internet connectivity on the Boca Raton and HBOI campuses. We will post an update when all maintenance is concluded.
