Banner production database (FAUP) will be restarted tomorrow morning, Thursday 3/15/2012 at 5:00am in order to complete the ODS setup.
OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs., March 15, 2012 from 3:00am to 7:00am
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/15/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Affected Services: Network Registration Admin Interface
Affected Systems: lintalon0, lintalon1
Description of Maintenance: Upload new version of Network Registration Admin Interface to Tomcat application server (WAR File Deployment)
User impact: Network Registration Admin interface may be unavailable at intervals. This will not affect the stable, robust Network Registration front-end.
When: 3-6:00 AM
Affected services: Talisma
Affected systems: Taldb,talapp01, talapp02
Description: we will be applying hot fix 16 that was released by the vendor
User impact: Talisma will not be accessible during down time but we expect no impact on users.
When: 3-6:00 AM
Affected services: Blackboard, vWorkspace, DNS, Graduate Application
Affected systems: HP HyperV Cluster, bbloracle
Description: New firmware is being applied to all components of the HP Blade Chassis
User impact: Access to Blackboard, vWorkspace, DNS and the Graduate Application will be intermittent during this time.
Emergency Banner maintenance
Pertaining the Banner production outage this morning, our database vendor (Oracle) has identified patches and other fixes that need to be applied to prevent the problem from reoccurring. The downtime involved to apply these fixes are as follows:

FAU Self-Service (including registration, transcripts, grades and payments) and Banner systems are available. The Office of Information Technology has completed the Operating System upgrade.

Network Maintenance Bldg. 52 2nd Floor Arts & Humanities 03/08/2012
Networking will be upgrading the network equipment in building 52 2nd floor during the maintenance window 5:00am to 7:00am Thursday 03/08/2012. No service outage during normal business hours is expected.
Voice service outage T-Area Tuesday Dec 20th Canceled
CSI has canceled the scheduled maintenance for Tuesday December 20th 2011 from 5:00am till 7:00am. CSI will not be upgrading the power for the voice system in T-6.
Banner TEST reboot tonight 6pm – 7pm
Banner TEST will be rebooted tonight, Tuesday (10/18/2011) between 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
ODS Upgrade has completed
The ODS upgrade has completed. The redirection to the standby ODS database has been removed and reports are now accessing the ODS upgraded database.
This new ODS release (version 8.2) is utilizing Oracle “Streams” which will eliminate the problem with triggers locking Banner tables during the refresh process.
More information about this new ODS release is available to DART BOARD users under the ODS Metadata tab.
Building 71 College of Medicine switch maintenance
CSI will be performing routine switch maintenance in building 71, College of Medicine on Friday, 10/07/2011 from 6:00 AM to 7:00 am during the IRM maintenance window. This maintenance will only affect the data connections on the first floor in building 71 during the times listed above.
