SonicFoundry is aware of intermittent issues within the Mediasite Video Cloud environment, and are investigating. Users may experience playback issues, issues with live streaming, and inability to log into the Management Portal and other applications.

[RESOLVED] Webex Meetings: Reports of users who are unable to connect to audio

Cisco Engineering identified an issue affecting services in the Texas data center. Some users experienced degraded in-meeting performance, audio disconnections or no audio options.

The Office of Information Technology will be performing maintenance to production Banner, ODS and Data Warehouse systems beginning Thursday, March 12th at 3:00 am. The University’s Forms Frevvo Google connector is offline for some forms. We are investigating the problem and will update this when the problem is resolved.

Mediasite Scheduled Maintenance

Sonic Foundry will be performing Mediasite Video Cloud maintenance during the scheduled maintenance window on February 15, between 1:01AM and 5:00AM EST. Extended downtime is not expected. However, catalogs may be unavailable for brief periods during this time.

Mediasite performance degraded

Sonic Foundry is reporting degraded Mediasite performance.  Users may experience long loading times and/or time outs when accessing Mediasite catalogs and presentations.  Video uploads are also progressing slowly.  OIT is monitoring the situation and will update this status as more information becomes available.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thursday February 6 from 3:00AM to 6:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 02/06/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: OIT will be adding additional menus to account claiming pages for transcript requests.​

Affected services: accounts.fau.edu – account claiming
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users may not be able to claim or manage their accounts through this service while it is restarted.

Description of change: Canvas is making a change to their code on 2/15.  We will be updating the following applications in advance of that change to make sure that the change is seamless for our applications.
The following applications will be updated: Observer Manager, Course Manager, User Manager, Discussion Report, Syllabus Viewer, Grade Uploader​, Civic Literacy Enrollment, Forgot Password (Continuing Ed)
Downtime window start: 5:30 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Canvas Courses Manager, User Manager, Discussion Report, Grade Uploader, Observer Manager, Syllabus Viewer, Civic Literacy Enrollment, Forgot Password (Continuing Ed)​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, each application will be momentarily unavailable when the update occurs and after for about 10-15 minutes when the servers are rebooted

Description of change: OIT will be removing obsolete and disabled services from our Single Sign On system’s allowed services list.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, there should be no impact as these are either already disabled or unreachable.
