OIT Systems Maintenance – Thurs. June 18 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/18/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Single Sign-on Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be moving production SSO Metadata server from the Boca Raton data center to Microsoft Azure.
Downtime window start: 6/18/2020 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6/18/2020 7:00 AM
Affected services: SSO ​Metadata site. Service providers will not be able to be added or modified during the switchover.
Expected End-user impact: During this time, there should be no end user impact.​

Description of change: OIT will be moving Mediasite servers to a different domain. Mediasite will be unavailable during this time.

Owl Done and possibly other FAU services unavailable

At this time we have identified that Owl Done is unavailable. We are currently investigating the cause and will update the status as we learn more. Other FAU services may also be affected.

Mediasite Video Cloud Upgrade

Sonic Foundry will be updating Mediasite Video Cloud to the latest release during the scheduled maintenance window on May 30, between 1:01AM and 5:00AM EDT. Extended downtime is not expected. However, Mediasite may be unavailable for brief periods during this time.

[Resolved] Mediasite Playback Issues

[13:05] Service has been restored and SonicFoundry continues to monitor the system

[10:27] SonicFoundry is aware of issues within the Mediasite Video Cloud environment, and is investigating. Users may experience playback issues, issues with live streaming, and inability to log into the Management Portal and other applications.

Turnitin Scheduled Maintenance: May 2, 2020, 11 AM – 3 PM

On May 2, 2020, Turnitin will require an emergency maintenance window from 11 AM – 3 PM EDT as a preemptive measure to avoid rescheduled maintenance work. During this time, users may experience problems submitting papers for any Turnitin assignments in Canvas courses. The maintenance should only take the first two hours of this window, however we ask that you plan for the full duration. Faculty, please use this Help Desk Request if you need assistance adjusting any Turnitin assignments that are due during the maintenance window.
