Office of Information Technology will be performing systems maintenance Monday November 26th, 2018 from 3:00 am until 7:00 am.

Description of change:  OIT will upgrade the Single Sign-On system as part of our identity management upgrade.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: sso.fau.edu, grouper.fau.edu, all SSO clients including Banner Self Service, Workday, Canvas, and many others.
Affected systems: Single Sign On Servers, Grouper
Expected End-user impact: During this time, some users may experience issues logging into numerous single sign-on authenticated services. Groups sync’s will be delayed while an initial sync is performed.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Nov 15 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 11/15/2018 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Account Self Service
Description of change:  OIT will upgrade the Account Self-Service portal to correct a problem related to updating your password while logged in.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: accounts.fau.edu
Affected systems: OIM Web servers
Expected End-user impact: During this time, account self-service portal will be unavailable. After the change, users will be able to correctly change their password when logging in to the Account Self-Service portal.

DPM – Software upgrade
Description of change: OIT is upgrading all of the production DPM servers from UR4 to UR6.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: Backups for production VMs and physical desktops using DPM as their backup method.​
Affected systems:  SCDPM, boc22dpmus, nwdpmus. All client agents managed by these 3 servers.​
Expected End-user impact:  During this time, backups will be paused at various times between 3AM and 7AM.​

Description of change: OIT will be upgrading server and client software for the Event Management Software suite.

Expected End-user impact:  During this time, there will be minimal end user-impact. End users will need to relaunch their desktop clients when they come into the office.

Description of change: OIT will apply 25Live/LYNX upgrade scripts for the Registrar’s office in Banner production.

Affected services: No impact on running services.  This will enable a new application to interface with Banner.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-users impact on is expected.

SecureDoc Server Updates
Description of change: OIT will be updating the SecureDoc Enterprise software on the host VM.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: SecureDoc autoboot will be down sporadically during restarts.
Affected systems: SecureDoc Server
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. The only issue would be that machines would not be able to autoboot during server restarts. The user would still be able to log in manually.

DC VLAN Moves Phase 3
Description of change: OIT will be moving Data Center Vlans to the new DC01 core for service to Data Center Servers and ToR devices.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, services on these server subnets will be disrupted during the move. ​

[RESOLVED] Duo Phone calls are delayed

The vendor has moved services to an alternative telephony provider and phone call authentications should be working properly at this time.

Description of change: OIT is condensing 4 Jupiter racks into 2. This will require downtime for all services on the Jupiter campus.​

Affected services: All services on the Jupiter campus including Domain Authentication, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, application and file share services. All Video Conferencing services.
Affected systems: Jupiter Domain controllers, Jupiter File Servers, VC server equipment, Jupiter Application Servers.
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users will be without the majority of computing services on the Jupiter campus during this 4 hour window. This will include login authentication, Jupiter application and Jupiter server shares, plus all VC services.
