The Zoom Google Chrome extension will be updated on November, 26, 2022. After the upgrade, users will be asked to log-in manually the first time they open their browser and use the Google Chrome extension.
OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Nov 10 from 12:00AM to 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 11/10/2022 from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
Server maintenance
Description of change: OIT will perform maintenance on the Kubernetes Management service.

Affected services: Network Registration, PrivateEye, College of Businesss application
End-user impact: This change could affect load balancing and certs for network registration, privateeye, and College of Business application.
Move Video Conferencing servers
Description of change: OIT will be moving several systems supporting video conferencing to different hardware
Downtime window start: 3:00AM
Downtime window end: 7:00AM
Affected services: Video Conferencing
End-user impact: No end-user impact is expected with this change.
Server Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading the components of several systems to resolve bugs and add support for newer hardware.

Server upgrade
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading a development Database server

Zoom has resolved issue that was causing a subset of users to be unable to reach zoom.us.

Zoom monitoring has detected an issue causing a subset of users to be unable to reach zoom.us. Zoom engineers are currently investigating the impact and root cause. Zoom will provide updates as soon as there is more information to share.

Zoom Software, Required Update
On November 5th, 2022, customers will be required to update their Zoom client to version 5.8.6 or higher. This is a system-wide requirement enforced by Zoom. FAU users should already be using version 5.10 or higher. Users should always use the latest version, when possible. Failure to upgrade will result in loss of access to the entire zoom network.

Resolved – Mediasite Catalogs
Presentations are once again available in Mediasite Catalogs in Canvas.
Mediasite Catalog not updating
Courses that use the Mediasite catalog are not seeing new presentations added to the list. OIT is aware of this and is working with the vendor for a long-term solution. In the short term OIT will be providing direct links to presentations within a Canvas module.
Mediasite processing delayed
Mediasite presentations are delayed in their delivery to class channels in Canvas. OIT is working with the vendor for a solution.
