OIT will be performing upgrades and enhancements to several FAU network segments between 11:00 p.m. on January 31 and 1:00 a.m. on February 1.  During the maintenance window, there may be a 5 minute disruption to the campus networks.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Dec 17 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/17/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Description of change: ​OIT will be upgrading the software on the voice servers.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, some phones may lose connectivity for 10-30 seconds while they switch to the backup servers.

Description of change: OIT will be performing storage maintenance on the boc22mssqlfau2 Microsoft SQL Cluster. Databases located on CIFS shares will be moved to iSCSI.

Research Computing Scheduler Upgrade
Description of change: Research Computing will be upgrading the scheduler used to control jobs on the cluster. This upgrade should resolve several problems preventing GUI and MPI applications from running correctly.

Network upgrades in building 10 on December 18 at 6:00 am

On Friday, December 18, 2020, between 6:00 am and 6:30 am, OIT will upgrade the network in the FAU Administration Building # 10. This upgrade will cause intermittent interruptions to the network, wireless, and telephones for approximately 5 minutes. [RESOLVED] Possible connectivity issues to network/Internet

The issue have been resolved.

We are currently experiencing issues with computers not being able to renew the DHCP lease (network connection). This can result in not being able to remotely connect to the computers or not being able to access the network/internet if you are on campus.
OIT is working on resolving this issues as soon as possible.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

[NETWORK OUTAGE RECOVERY] Late Friday Afternoon 4:15 through 5:30

FAU experienced unplanned network connectivity issues between 4:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. today. Network connectivity has been restored, but OIT may still be working to restore some services that may have been impacted.
