OIT will be performing network maintenance on Saturday, September 22 from 12:01 a.m. until 5:00 a.m. Due to the nature of the maintenance, users may experience intermittent network and telephone outages lasting approximately 10 minutes during this window.

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09/13/2018 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Network Upgrade – Library MPLS 10g Router Upgrade
Description of change: Networking is performing an upgrade of the LY3 Building complex. All network services in building will be offline during the cutover.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: Library Building network services. Wireless and wired.
Affected systems: All network devices in LY3
Expected End-user impact:  During this time network services in the Library building will be offline. Once back online, end users m​ay need to reboot.

On Friday, September 14, 2018, between 4:00 am and 6:00 am, OIT will upgrade the network in the FAU Library. This upgrade will cause intermittent interruptions to the network, wireless, and telephones in the Library. The network outage at the FAU Ft. Lauderdale campus has been resolved.

We are experiencing a network outage at the FAU Ft. Lauderdale campus.  A large fiber cable was cut due to ongoing construction in the area.  A fiber repair crew is on site and actively working to correct the issue.

The telephone system core battery will undergo maintenance on Wednesday, August, 8, 2018 beginning at 12:00 am until 4:00 am.

During this time, there will be intermittent disruption of inbound and outbound telephone calls.

In the event of an emergency, the FAU police department can be reached at 561-271-5163 by using a cellular or other non-FAU phone.
