If you change your password during this time please be aware that it may take some time to propagate to all systems.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. June 22 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/22/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: Workday will be updated to improve how users login in.
Downtime window start: 5:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: Workday Production, Implementation, and Preview​
Affected systems: workday.fau.edu​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, users may be unable to login.

Server maintenance – Upgrade ODS to the new version ODS 9.0
Description of change: OIT is upgrading ODS from version 8.5 to 9.0​
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:00 AM
Affected services: ODS production environment. WebFocus won’t be able to connect to the ODS database.​
Affected systems: odsprod​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, ODS will be unavailable.​

Hardware maintenance – Telephone system core battery replacement
Description of change: The current telephone battery system will be replaced with a new battery system.
Downtime window start: 6/22/2017 10:00 PM
Downtime window end: 6/23/2017 6:00 AM
Affected services: Inbound and outbound calling
Affected systems: AT&T smart jacks, call processing
Expected End-user impact: During this time, there will be intermittent disruption of inbound and outbound telephone calls. In the event of an emergency end-users should use a cellular or non FAU phone to dial 911.

Description of change: This upgrade builds onto the infrastructure for all of the other Banner XE modules and specifically supports the latest upgrade and modification of the Student Registration Self Service module.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 7:00 AM
Affected services: Banner XE
Affected systems: Banner XE
Expected End-user impact: During this time we do not anticipate any end-user impact.

Wi-Fi upgrades in the student residence areas

On Tuesday and Wednesday, June 13 and 14, 2017, between 5:00 am and 6:00 am, OIT will perform maintenance on the wireless network in the student residence areas. This upgrade will cause an interruption to the fau, fauwpa2, and fauguest wireless networks in the student residence halls.
