Yesterday, we received several inquiries regarding slowness and difficulty to reach FAU services such as Blackboard and MyFAU from remote locations.
After extensive investigation, we have discovered that the problem was isolated and related to AT&T U-verse’s connection to the carrier network which most Florida universities are using. Unfortunately, we have no direct control over this connection; however, we are working diligently via several channels to get more information regarding repair to this connection from the parties involved. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

OIT will be performing network maintenance from 4:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Due to the nature of the maintenance, FAU may experience intermittent network outages lasting approximately 10 – 15 minutes during this maintenance window. This outage will affect connectivity to the Internet as well as connectivity within FAU.
