IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deem necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/31/2011 from 3:00am to 7:00am during IRM maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

MyFAU change at 5:00 AM
Description of Change: MyFAU personal and campus announcement channels which reside on the HOME tab will be changed to display 5 announcements at a time rather than 3. Also the page where you view the actual body of the announcement will be changed to show 8 announcements per page rather than 5 as it is now.

Global Traffic Manager (GTM) maintenance:
The GTM settings will go into effect for the FAU website around 6:15am. If all goes well there will be no issue. The purpose is to let the copy of the FAU website in Northwest respond for www.fau.edu in case of a disaster or when the FAU network is unreachable. If there are problems – there could be a chance that the FAU website may not display during this time, but that is not anticipated. =================================================

SharePoint will be unavailable between 6:00 AM – 6:15 AM

Description of Change:
​Change the MSSQL server from Integrated to Mixed Mode Authentication

The fiber optic connection to Boca building 51 (Performing Arts), dropped at 6:00pm taking the network offline in that building. It has been fixed and the network in building 51 has now been restored

On Sunday, March 20th, 2011 the SafeAssign tool in Blackboard will be unavailable from 6:00pm to 7:00pm due to system maintenance.

We have a network outage at the Gumbo Limbo site. We are presently working to resolve the issue.

4:41pm – The AT&T problem with the T-1 circuit has been repaired.

Network has been restored to the Gumbo Limbo site.

Clicking the Self-Service in MyFAU links intermittently displays the MyFAU login page instead of taking the user to Self-Service.

It appears to be a problem with one of the portals and we are working on resolution.

IRM is performing preventative Blackboard maintenance on February 20th at 4:00 a.m. If you are on the system at that time, you will be logged off. We recommend you log off before 4:00a.m to avoid losing any work.  You will be able to log back in at 4:10a.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience will cause and are working with Blackboard to resolve the underlying problem.

AT&T and IRM will perform emergency network maintenance on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 starting 12:01am, which will affect FAU’s primary network connection. During the maintenance, FAU’s secondary network connection will provide Internet connectivity for FAU. Network interruptions will be experienced as we move between the primary and secondary connections.
