Possible Single Sign on Errors when accessing FAU services

We are currently experiencing an issue with single sign on and you may possibly experience delayed logins or receive an error upon trying to access an FAU service such as Canvas, MyFAU, or Workday. We are currently investigating the cause to resolve as soon as possible.

Possible Duo Authentication delays or timeouts

At this time we have identified an issue with accessing our Duo Administration site and there may be delays or timeouts with other Duo authentications, such as push notifications and SMS authentications.

Please see the status provided by Duo:

We are currently investigating an issue with authentication delays, timeouts, and issues loading the Duo Authentication Prompt iframe on multiple deployments. We are working to correct the issue as soon as possible.

We will update this status once more information is available.

Single Sign On System Maintenance

The University Single Sign On System will briefly undergo maintenance from 6:00 am to 7:00 am Thursday, August 20. During this period users may be unable to login to Canvas, Workday, Banner Self Service, OwlDone, Google Applications, Office 365, Ezproxy, and other Single Sign On supported services.

If you continue to experience difficulty accessing any services past 7:00 am, please contact the Help Desk at your earliest convenience.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Aug 13 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 0/13/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Single Sign On update
Description of change: The University single sign on system will be updated to apply a permanent fix for script popup errors experienced for local installs of Hyland and Webex. Updates will also be applied for a future integration of Okta for the Board of Governors and a fix for an error in OmniUpdate. Users may experience a short period where they cannot login during this maintenance.
Downtime window start: 8/13/2020 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 8/13/2020 7:00 AM
Affected services: All services that use single sign on.
Expected End-user impact: During this time, single sign on will go offline for 1-5 minutes while the system restarts. Users may experience a short period where they cannot login during this maintenance.
