Banner production unavailable during Fiscal Year End Roll Phase II –COMPLETED
The Fiscal Year End Roll Process Phase II is running a bit longer than expected. As a result Banner Production FAUP is expected to be up at 11:45 am.
Intermittent Internet Connectivity
FAU’s internet service provider has had a fiber outage. Users may intermittently lose connection. We will place an update once this has been corrected.
Blackboard: Global Navigation Currently Unavailable
Global Navigation, which is the access point to My Blackboard and social learning tools (such as My Grades, Posts, and Updates), is currently unavailable. Students can still access their grades by going to the Tools area from within their course (located in the course menu) and then by clicking on “My Grades”.
Instructors, if the tool has been made unavailable, you can add it to your course menu by following these instructions (add “My Grades”). If you need assistance, please submit a ticket to our Online Support Center.
We are working to resolve the issue.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. July 31 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 07/31/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
When: 3:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Affected services: VIP document management system
Affected systems: vip.fau.edu, more specifically, smartvault2.vip.fau.edu
Expected end-user impact: Registrar’s office and other groups who rely on the scanned images stored within VIP
Description of change: Virtualization of VIP domain controller (smartvault2.vip.fau.edu). We are converting the physical domain controller responsible for the VIP document management system to a virtual one to allow for better management and flexibility.
