OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. May 15 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 05/15/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 5:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: Undergraduate & Graduate Admissions Applications
Affected systems: Frevvo forms manager
Description of maintenance: Install a patch to fix issue with Google Chrome.
User impact: Minimal downtime expected (less than 5 minutes)

When: 4:00AM – 5:00AM
Affected services: Central Authentication System (CAS)
Affected systems: CAS
Description of maintenance: FAU’s web base authentication system will be upgraded to provide additional security features such as Two Factor Authentication, improved user session termination and improved reliability. In addition all expired user passwords will be extended between 30 to 180 days. This will allow users time to respond to the password expiration warnings before they are force to change their password.
User impact: Users may need to refresh their browsers and possibly clear their browser cache.

Affected services: Xpressions – Voicemail
Affected systems: Xpressions
Description of maintenance: Move Xpressions to a virtual environment
User impact: Xpressions will be offline so there will be no access to voicemail during this time.
