Voice service outage T-Area Tuesday Dec 20th
On Tuesday December 20th 2011 from 5:00am till 7:00am CSI will be upgrading the power for the voice system in T-6. During this time there will be no FAU phone service in the T-Area, Building 69, or the Baldwin House. If you have an emergency and you are located in these areas please dial 911 from a cellular or a non-FAU phone. The FAU police department can be reached at 561-271-5163 .

Network upgrades to cause partial telephone outages On Monday, December 19, 2011, between 6:00 am and 7:00 am On Monday, December 19, 2011, between 6:00 am and 7:00 am, IRM will upgrade a core link to the telephone system in building T-6 on the Boca Raton campus. This upgrade will cause an interruption to the telephone systems in buildings 69, the Baldwin House, and the “T” buildings on the FAU Boca Raton campus. Please be advised that calls to the buildings mentioned above may require dialing a seven or ten digit number. Completed – Network equipment replacement in Bldg 55
Starting Tuesday 12/13/2011 Networking Dept. will be upgrading the network equipment in Bldg 55 PS Physical Science Building. The work will be done during the maintenance window 5:00am to 7:00am. No network outage is expected during normal business hours. Work will be completed Friday 12/16/2011.

Issues with IE7 and Drop Down boxes
We have identified an issue with a security update for Internet Explorer 7 affecting drop down boxes on websites. As IE7 is no longer supported by many websites, we recommend to upgrade to a newer version – IE8 or IE9 or use a different browser.

Resolved – Issues experienced with IBIWEB/BITS Webfocus webage
Issues began shortly after 7:00pm Wednesday night. Appeared to be resolved at 8:45pm, but then reappeared around 10:30pm. Issue was resolved at 12:30am.

IRM Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Dec 15, from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM
IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/15/2011 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during IRM maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
When: 5:00 AM – 6:00 AM
Affected Service: Video Stream authentication for College of Business
Affected Systems: Broadcast1.fau.edu, Broadcast2.fau.edu
Description of Maintenance: We will be applying Red Hat patches on these servers. Some will require a reboot.
Service Interruption: Each service will be offline for approximately 15 minutes.
When: 9:00am – 11:00am
Affected Service: Blackboard Collaborate
Description of Maintenance: Blackboard Collaborate (formerly known as “Elluminate”) will be unavailable on Thursday, December 15 from 9:00-11:00am due to system maintenance
