OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. April 4, from 3:00am to 7:00am

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/04/2013 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 3:00 – 3:15 AM
Affected Systems: boc22cm102srv1, boc22cm102srv10, boc22cm102srv4, boc22cm102srv10, boc22cm102vrt101mrtg, boc22cm102wcs10, cosweb1, jobs.finaid, ls-osd, ls-snap, ls-spss, printonline, remotecon, remotecon2, sqltesthost01, vcboc01, vcboc02, wsus
Groups Involved:  Systems
Description of Maintenance:  These systems are being reconfigured to allow them to move between hosts with different processors
User Impact:  The following services will be unavailable between 3 and 3:15AM:
 What’s Up server (for networking group)
 Cisco wireless control system
 College of Science web server
 Finaid website
 Labs new licensing servers for SNAP,SPSS,OSD
 Labs new print online system
 vCenter services for Systems group
 wsus services for Systems group

When: 3:00 – 6:30 AM
Affected Systems: bba2, bba5, bbm1, ieadata, ieaweb, nsboc1, pinky, r25-webservice, flashgordon, idm2, ldapboc0, spwfe1, talapp01, talonx1
Groups Involved:  Systems
Description of Maintenance:  These systems are being migrated to different host hardware
User Impact:  The following services will be unavailable for approximately for 30 to 60 minutes during the window:
 IEA website
 SharePoint
 Crestron RoomView
 Signature System website
 IEA and Talisma outgoing email distributions
 Talisma

When: 3:00 am – 7:00 am
Affected services: Position Control 8.8.0.2 patch, HR/Payroll 8.8.1.8, 8.8.1.9, 8.8.1.10 & 8.8.1.11 patches
Affected systems: Banner FAUP
Description of maintenance: The following updates will be installed in Banner production:
Position Control 8.8.0.2 patch & HR/Payroll 8.8.1.8, 8.8.1.9, 8.8.1.10 & 8.8.1.11
User impact: There will be no user impact.
