OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. July 17, from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 07/17/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 3:00AM – 5:00A
Affected Services: Services will not be affected
Affected Systems: ​Banner Production
Description of Maintenance: In order to meet the Federal deadlines for loan dispersements, the following will be installed in Banner production: Financial Aid/Financial Aid Self Service 8.20.1 & Banner Student 8.6.4
User Impact: There will be no user impact

When: 3:00AM – 7:00AM
Affected Services: VIP Document Management System
Affected Systems: ​vip.fau.edu, (fulltext.fau.edu)
Description of Maintenance: OIT is converting the frontend physical server responsible for the VIP document management system to a virtual one to allow for better management and flexibility.
User Impact: Registrar’s office and other groups who rely on the scanned images stored within VIP.​

When: 3:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected Services: Appworx production
Affected Systems: enzo.fau.edu (oracleapps.fau.edu)
Description of Maintenance: Appworx production database (APWXP) will be upgraded from Oracle 10g to 11g.​
User Impact: Production ​Appworx jobs will not be executed during the down time.

When: 5:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected Services: ​R25, Sharepoint, Talisma, Talon, IEA Web and Data, certain networking servers, EMS, MSSQL1&2.
Affected Systems: Approximately 40 servers
Description of Maintenance: Systems is moving all computer objects belonging to OIT servers from the 22_CM OU to the OIT OU. This is being done so that the 22_CM OU can be used for end-user computer objects only.
User Impact: This move should not cause any disruptiuon of services.
