OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. April 6 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/06/2017 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Authentication system maintenance
When:  3:00AM to 6:00AM
Affected services:  dsee ldap
Affected systems: ldapboc0-el6​, ldapboc1-el6
Description of maintenance:  OIT is performing maintenance on the authentication system. We are promoting LDAPBoc1-el6 and ldapboc0-el6 to be master ldap servers
User impact:  No end-user impact is expected

Oracle upgrade to ODS database
When:  3:00AM to 7:00AM
Affected services:  ODS production environment. Webfocus won’t be able to connect to the ODS database.
Affected systems:  Odsprod​
Description of maintenance:  OIT will be applying the Oracle upgrade to odsp db on host odsprod
User impact:  Affected services will be unavailable during the maintenance window

Windows authentication system migration
When:  3:00AM to 7:00AM
Affected services:  AD authentication​
Affected systems:  nwrdcfau01, nwrdcirm01, bocdcirm01​
Description of maintenance:  OIT will be migrating an AD domain controller to server 2016
User impact:  No end-user impact is expected​

Banner XE Application Navigator utility upgrades 2.0.0/2.0.1
When:  3:00AM to 4:00AM
Affected services:  Not applicable. This is a stand-alone utility and will not affect any other Banner 8 or Banner XE module.​
Affected systems:  Application Navigator utility module​
Description of maintenance:  These two upgrades are for the Application Navigator utility. The utility allows users to switch between the Banner 8 forms and the Banner XE Administrative pages. It is required for any users to see the Banner XE​ environment.
User impact: No user impact is anticipated​
