[RESOLVED] Boca Mail Server Maintenance 2019-09-25

OIT will be performing emergency maintenance on a mail server located at the Boca campus. While we don’t expect any issues mail delivery may be impacted while the maintenance is performed.

Maintenance Employee MFA Enrollment Form

We will be updating the Employee MFA Enrollment form at 9 pm this evening September 23, 2019. During the update the url to the system will be updated to https://ssoauth.fau.edu/employee-mfa and a performance bug resolved. To aide in accessing the system a redirect will also be applied to the old site.

[RESOLVED] TouchNet Systems Maintenance, Wed. September 18th from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Wednesday, 09/18/2019

This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services.

We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you.

You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion.

Expected End-user impact: During this time all student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services will be unavailable during this maintenance cycle.

BHRIC Profile Server replacement
Description of change: One of the home directory servers used by the biomedical research information core has experienced a software failure in windows which prevents it from starting the windows login service. While this is still functional we must replace the server to resolve the issue without substantial downtime. During this maintenance period we will be adding the new server to the DFS cluster.

Internal email delivery issue

An email server on the Boca Raton campus that handles email delivery for smtp.fau.edu is currently unavailable if using the IP address 131.91.100.169.  If you are using a fully qualified DNS entry of smtp.fau.edu there is no interruption of service.  A workaround to this issue is to use the IP 131.91.252.65 until the problem is resolved.  We are currently working with our vendor on a solution and apologize for the inconvenience.

[NETWORK MAINTENANCE] Sunday September 15th from 12:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m.

OIT will be performing network maintenance in the early morning hours on Sunday September the 15th. During this maintenance, users may experience brief network interruptions on the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses lasting for several seconds at a time. With the exception of the brief traffic interruptions, the network is generally expected to be available during the maintenance window. All maintenance activities will cease prior to 6:00 a.m.
