OIT Systems Maintenance, Thursday, March 5 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/05/2020 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: OIT will be changing a parameter on it’s storage system to make inter-system communication more secure​
Downtime window start: 6:00 AM
Downtime window end: 6:15 AM
Affected services: All Services​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected​

Data Warehouse-Related Software Upgrade
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading third-party software components used for data processing by FAU data warehouse.
Downtime window start: 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 4:15 AM
Affected services: Should be no impact on services. Data warehouse jobs will be disabled during the installation.
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected

Convert all upper case Spriden names to mixed case Spriden names
Description of change: OIT will make changes to correct upper case names to mixed case. The ​TEST score loading process is populating all upper case first, last, middle names to Spriden names. This need to be corrected in backend. Make data load of names in SPAIDEN be mixed case.

WebFocus Server Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will update the NLS setting in WebFOCUS Codepa​​ge from “U.S English/Western European” to “UTF8​.” This change is necessary to correct the wrong characters on the SPOT reports.
Downtime window start: 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 3:10 AM
Affected services: WebFOCUS/Leap Ahead Production environment. ​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. This change does not involve downtime
