Network maintenance on Sunday January 31 at 11:00 pm

OIT will be performing upgrades and enhancements to several FAU network segments between 11:00 p.m. on January 31 and 1:00 a.m. on February 1.  During the maintenance window, there may be a 5 minute disruption to the campus networks.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Jan 7 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 01/07/2021 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Database Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be performing storage maintenance on the boc22mssqloit3 Microsoft SQL Cluster. Databases located on CIFS shares will be moved to iSCSI.
Downtime window start: 1/7/2021 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 1/7/2021 7:00 AM
Affected services: ​The following databases on the boc22mssqloit3 cluster will be offline for a short period while moved:
collegeexpo_prod, eCollege, EMS, EMS_Master, FacStaffAlert, FAU_CIG, fsaATLAS, grantsERA, GRAS, inauguration, Master_Calendar, Medicine, onbase_prod, orinoco_base, orinoco_directory, orinoco_esig, orinoco_flow, orinoco_hr, owlcard, owlcard_test, PrivateEyeProd, PrivateEyeTest, ServiceAwards, SOFTLIC, TechFee, ThirdPartyAlert, Transients, VPAS
Expected end-user impact: During this time, services connecting to the databases listed above may go offline or need to be restarted during the maintenance.

Server Maintenance
Description of change: OIT is making changes to enhance the security of FAU’s main website (

Expected end-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected. After the change, ​users will be forced to load via https only
