The network maintenance scheduled for this morning is complete and all services are expected to be working. While most services were restored early this morning, OIT staff worked throughout the morning to restore the remainder of services including internet access for many buildings on campus. [Resolved] AWS Issues Affecting Some Canvas Users

This incident has been resolved.

Canvas is reporting that some users are being affected by an issue with Amazon Web Services (AWS). They are currently investigating the issue.

Our Canvas uptime is still at 100% for now, but interruptions may occur during the period of this issue. For an updated status, click here.

Issues with DUO multi-factor authentication

We have identified a problem with DUO, the multi-factor authentication application. We are working on a temporary solution to resolve the issue.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Dec 16 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 12/16/2021 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Banner Accounts Receivable Maintenance
Description of change: ​​​​Banner will be undergoing maintenance to upgrade the Accounts Receivable 8X/XE modules. We will also be including items for the Financial Aid 8X/XE module.
Downtime window start: 12/16/2021 3:00 AM
Downtime window end: 12/16/2021 7:00 AM
Affected services: ​​​​BANNER 8X/XE Accounts Receivable modules, ​BANNER 8X/XE General modules, ​​BANNER 8X/XE Web Tailor/Web General modules, ​​BANNER 8X/XE Financial Aid modules
Expected End-user impact: ​​​The Banner system will be brought down during the actual installation of the new release code.

Mediasite upgrade

Mediasite will be upgraded to version 8 on December 18th. Mediasite may be unavailable periodically during the maintenance window (Saturday, Dec 18, 1AM-6AM). After, Mediasite Desktop Recorder will be retired. All Mediasite users must download the Mosaic application in order to use the new platform. Current disruptions with Amazon Web Services (AWS) are impacting Canvas and related tools, causing them to be slow or inaccessible. We are currently monitoring the situation and will provide updates as we receive them. 

Tools that may be temporarily inaccessible or slow include:
