[Resolved] Zoom Canvas Integration Errors

UPDATE: This is resolved. The integration is back to normal operation.

Users are experiencing errors when trying to load the Zoom Canvas integration in their courses. We will be updating this post as we receive updates on this issue.

In the meantime, meeting hosts can copy the join URL for their upcoming meetings and share them via email, announcements, etc. To do so:

  1. Go to https://fau-edu.zoom.us and click the Sign In button.
  2. If prompted, sign in with your FAU credentials.
  3. Click the Meetings button in the navigation menu on the left.
  4. Click the title of your upcoming meeting.
  5. Click the copy button for the Invite Link (screenshot below):
  1. Paste the link in a message/announcement to the attendees/students that need to attend.

Once sent, your attendees will be able to join your meeting by opening the link. As the host you can start the meeting by clicking the Start button on the page where you copied the link.

[Resolved] Issues Affecting Canvas Login Attempts

This issue has been resolved as per Instructure’s status page.

Users are currently experiencing errors when attempting to log into Canvas. This has been reported and is being investigated. If you experience issues, please try to sign in later. We will update this post with new details as we have more info.

[Resolved] Users Reporting Issues with Grade Submission in Canvas

This issue has been resolved. If you ran into problems using Grade Submission in Canvas, please try again now.

If you run into further issues, let us know by filling out this Help Desk request.

Instructors are reporting an error when trying to access Grade Submission in their Canvas courses. We’re looking into the issue and working on a solution.

[Resolved] Canvas Users are experiencing Slowness and Errors

Update as of 2:42 PM: The incident has been resolved.

Update as of 2:36 PM: A fix has been implemented and they are monitoring the results.

Update as of 2:31 PM: Instructure has identified the issue and a fix is being implemented.

Instructure has reported that a large portion of Canvas clients are experiencing slowness and errors in the US. We are monitoring their status of the issue and will post updates here as they come in.

[Resolved] Canvas Docviewer (Preview) Errors

This issue has been resolved.

The Docviewer in Canvas, which you might be familiar with if you use SpeedGrader to view student document submissions or have documents automatically displaying throughout your course, is currently experiencing sporadic errors. Users may experience a Service is Currently Unavailable error.

Canvas has implemented a temporary fix and is monitoring results. To stay up to date with this issue, monitor Canvas’s status page about it here.

[Resolved] Turnitin Intermittent Issues

The issues affecting Turnitin have been resolved.

Classroom PC Zoom Issues

When using the in-room computers in Boca classrooms, some instructors may experience a Zoom issue that causes their session to end prematurely.

*This is not affecting all users/classrooms.* We have identified the issue and are working towards a resolution.

If you are in a physical classroom and experience any issues with Zoom, please report the problem to the AV Support team via the phone number listed in the classroom or by submitting one of the Help Desk requests linked here. Then, try a temporary workaround by either restarting your computer and disabling Zoom’s “hardware acceleration” settings OR by using Webex or Microsoft Teams.

[Resolved] MyOpenMath Invalid Consumer error

The issue with MyOpenMath is resolved. Students should now be able to access MyOpenMath assignments through Canvas.

Users trying to access MyOpenMath assignments through Canvas are currently experiencing errors. This issue is being assessed by MyOpenMath. We are posting updates as we get more news. Thank you for your patience!
