The disruptive network maintenance scheduled for March 4th between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. has been completed. All services are expected to be operating normally at this time.
Network Maintenance – March 4th through March 6th
Network maintenance will be performed in the early morning hours of Tuesday March 4th, Wednesday March 5th, and Thursday March 6th. During maintenance, network connectivity will be intermittent. This includes access to and from the internet and within FAU. All network functionality is expected to be fully operational by 6:00 a.m. each day.
Tuesday March 4th: 5:00a.m. until 5:45. Estimated network interruption of 10-15 minutes.
Wednesday March 5th: 2:00a.m. until 5:00a.m. Estimated network interruption of 10-15 minutes with possible intermittent interruptions during the rest of the maintenance window.
Thursday March 6th: 2:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. Estimated network interruption of 25-30 minutes.
Network Maintenance – Sunday February 9th from 6:00-6:15a.m.
OIT will be performing network maintenance this Sunday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:15 a.m. During this time, network connectivity within the FAU Boca campus and to the internet will be sporadic.
Completed – Emergency Network Maintenance – Friday January 24th from 3:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m.
The network maintenance scheduled from 3:00 – 4:00 a.m. on Friday January 24 has been completed successfully. Services should be fully operational and existing issues with latency and sporadic inability to access the internet from certain computers should now be resolved.
Emergency Network Maintenance – Friday January 24th from 3:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m.
Communication Infrastructure will be performing emergency network maintenance between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday January 24th. During this time many network services will be intermittently unavailable including, but not limited to, access to the Internet, access between campuses, telephone services, and VPN access. This emergency maintenance is intended to resolve existing issues with high network latency and sporadic issues with end-user connectivity to the internet.

Resolved: HyperV services down – numerous VMs are down
Services down: idm gateway, sharepoint, dns resolutions, talapp, ldap and others that are located on the cluster. Systems is troubleshooting.
Resolved: Banner slowness
Intermittent connection problems with banner has been resolved. Systems should be functioning normally now.
Banner slowness
We are experiencing random slow access to banner related sites and applications. We are currently looking into the problem.

The Exchange issue has been resolved. We are still in the process of performing final testing and adjustments.

The Disruptive Network Maintenance has been concluded. Exchange email did not return to service as expected. Network and system administrators are looking into the issue now and we will post updates as they are available. We are currently performing in-depth testing, but all major services with the exception of Exchange appear to be available.
