OIT Systems Maintenance

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 2/06/2025 from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:


Printing Services Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be upgrading printing services used in the computer labs, library, and web printing on Thursday, February 6th, between the hours of 4AM and 7AM.
Change window start: 2/06/2025 4:00 AM
Change window end: 2/06/2025 7:00 AM
Affected services: Papercut pay for printing services including lab printing, pop-up client printing and web printing via fauprint.fau.edu.
Expected End-user impact: Printing services in the labs, library, and fauprint.fau.edu will be intermittently unavailable during this upgrade.


Deploy New Alert Software that will replace Altertus to Boca
Description of change: OIT will silently push out new SirCom alert software to all Intune/SCCM managed laptops and desktops for the Boca Campus starting Friday, February 7, at midnight.

Banner graduation date change for College of Medicine
Description of change: OIT will be making a change to update the graduation date for the entire upcoming College of Medicine graduation class from 5/5/2025 – 5/6/2025.

Description of change: OIT will be performing routine maintenance the email gateways from 5:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday January 23rd. Email delivery may be impacted during this time.

Server Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be performing server maintenance on Thursday, January 23rd at midnight. During this time, there may be some interruptions when logging into university systems.

Load process package WSAKETBL change
Description of change: OIT will be making a change to the load process package which will add additional attributes that may be missing in Banner for returning students from 6:00 am until 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 23rd. Banner will be available during this time.

[RESOLVED] Issue with outbound calls on Davie Campus

Davie phones are having issues making outbound calls. If there is an emergency please use a cellular device.

Description of change: OIT will be performing maintenance on Banner from 12:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. on Thursday 7th November. Banner will not be available during this time.

Affected services: Banner Admin, Self-Service, Registration
Expected End-user impact: All end users of Banner will be impacted.


Banner, Graduate Admissions System and Admissions system Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be performing maintenance on the graduate app, undergraduate app, and Banner from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. on November 7th. During this time, access to Banner as well as admissions applications will be unavailable.

[RESOLVED]AT&T users may experience issues accessing Single Sign On and Office 365

Microsoft has confirmed an outage which is impacting AT&T users. If connected to AT&T, you may experience issues accessing FAU sites that use Single Sign-On, or any Microsoft Office 365 application.

[RESOLVED] Some MyFAU Modules may not load properly

The issue has been resolved and MyFAU is fully functioning at this time.

We are currently investigating why certain MyFAU modules may not properly load. If a part of the MyFAU page will not load properly, refreshing may resolve the issue.

We are working to resolve this as soon possible and apologize for any inconvenience.

[RESOLVED] Issues with password changes

UPDATE: The password sync issue has been resolved and users can proceed with changing their passwords.

The Success Network (EAB Navigate) system is currently experiencing slow loading and navigating within the system. The vendor has been notified and we will post an update as we have additional information.
