We are currently experiencing issues where some users have issues logging in to Blackboard. We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Network Interruption 1:00a.m. 10/2/2015
The FAU network encountered a momentary network interruption around 1:00a.m. this morning. This interruption lasted a couple of minutes while traffic routed around to to redundant systems. During this brief time, access to services including Blackboard may have been impacted. We are currently working with our vendors to identify the root cause of the service disruption.

Update: MyFAU Maintenance
The maintenance to MyFAU has been completed and MyFAU is now accessible. Some users may experience issues logging into MyFAU if their passwords were changed after 1 am on 9/10/15. We expect these issues to be resolved in the next few hours and users should not need to change their passwords again.
Immediate MyFAU Maintenance 12:00 pm 9/11/2015
MyFAU will be offline for immediate maintenance from noon until 2pm 9/11/2015. Users requiring access to Self Service may use the links in Blackboard until MyFAU access has been restored.
We will update this post regularly with updated information should this timeline change.
OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Sept. 10 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 09/10/2015 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Active Directory placement of new accounts
When: 5:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: Active Directory, Waveset Identity Manager (IDM)
Affected systems: ad.fau.edu, idm.fau.edu
Description of maintenance: OIT will begin to place new user accounts in the People OU in Active Directory. Existing accounts will remain in their current sub-organizations (Employee, Student, Courtesy) until later this months when we will begin to move all accounts.
User impact: None expected. Only new user accounts will be impacted by this change. These accounts will only be impacted if they are trying to access an application that is hardcoded to point to a specific OU in AD.

Remove changelog DB from MyFAU ldap server
When: 5:00AM – 5:30AM
Affected services: MyFAU, luminissync, password synchronizations
Affected systems: MyFAU, password reset, OIM
Description of maintenance: OIT will remove the changelog database from MyFAU’s ldap server to improve stability of myfau’s directory server
User impact: Password resets will not synchronize and users will be unable to login to MyFAU while ldap is restarted.

Affected services: Email
Affected systems: Ironport server – berty
Description of maintenance: OIT will update the Ironport server to latest general patch
User impact: Delivery of mail may possibly slow down during this time.
