Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 08/15/2013 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of maintenance: OIT Will be performing network and systems maintenance from 2:30 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday August 15th.  During this time, access to Blackboard, MyFAU, and Banner may be intermittently available. In addition, the wireless and desktop networks on the Boca Raton may experience some minor issues for a couple of minutes. Maintenance is scheduled from 2:30am to 6:00am, although maintenance should conclude shortly after 3:00am.

Description of maintenance: Network settings for the 131.91.128.x, 131.91.129.x, and 131.91.131.x subnets are being changed as per the requirements of the OIT security group.
User impact: There should be no significant end user impact.  There might be some slight interruptions during the moment of switchover in the services listed above.

Description of maintenance: Half of the systems supporting Windows authentication on Boca campus will be migrated to new hardware.
User impact: No end-user impact is expected.

Description of maintenance: FAU’s mail system for faculty and staff will be modified to tell mail client software to contact it in a different way.
User impact: No end-user impact is expected.

Description of maintenance: Systems will be installing the cumulative patch #16 from Blackboard to be current on Blackboard patches.
User impact: Blackboard will be unavailable while patch is installed.

Description of maintenance: Blackboard has released updates to several Building Blocks (Retention Center, SafeAssign, Cloud Profiles, Pearson MyLabs, WileyPlus, Blackboard Collaborate).  These updates will not require any downtime.
User impact: No end-user impact is expected.

Affected Systems: Financial Aid 8.17.2 upgrade and two patches, Financial Aid Self Service 8.17.1.1 patch, Attendance Tracking 9.0.0.2 patch, Catalog 9.1.0.1/Schedule 9.1.0.1 patches
Description of maintenance: The above mentioned Banner modules will be installed to the specified version in production FAUP.
User impact: There will be no user impact

Description of maintenance: On Thursday August 08, 2013, OIT will update the Identity Manager to create Google Application accounts for all users by default.
User impact: Users will not be affected during this maintenance.

We are currently experiencing a telephone issue at the FAU SeaTech campus location. Incoming calls to the SeaTech campus and outbound local calls from the campus are not working properly. We are working with the vendor to resolve this issue.
