We will be doing upgrades to network switches in the Unix racks in Computing Center, Room 102 during our maintenance window (5:00am-7:00am) tomorrow morning (Wednesday, June 8, 2011). The following systems will be affected.
RU08 – switch boc22cm102fsw834 – config changes, IOS upgrade, reboot
RU09 – switch boc22cm102fsw828 – IOS upgrade, reboot RU09 – switch boc22cm102fsw829 – IOS upgrade, reboot
The ANDI server is currently unresponsive and as a result access to shares are not working. Expected reboot time is about five minutes.
The exchange servers that manage frontend (OWA/Outlook) connections will be restarted one at a time to address a mail delivery problem. There should be little to no impact to end users.
We are currently experiencing issues with telephones located at the Harbor Branch and Davie West locations. We are aware of the outages and working diligently to determine the cause and make corrections.
On Tuesday May 3rd from 4am till 7am CSI will be performing software upgrades to the phones and servers that will affect telephones at the Davie West location. During this time telephone service will not be available at the Davie West location. In the event of an emergency the FAU police department can be reached at 561-297-3500 by using a cellular or other non-FAU phone, and local police can be reached by Dialing 911 from a cellular or other non-FAU-phone.
IRM will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deem necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/21/2011 from 3:00am to 7:00am during IRM maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of Change: We will be migrating spwfe1, bbpproxy1 and owlapp1 from VMware ESXi to Hyper-V. Blackboard, Owlapp and SharePoint should not experience any downtime. We will be keeping backups of the VMware machines in case there are any problems and will be able to revert at any time during the process.

Affected Systems: Banner – Finance and Finance SSB 8.4 upgrade
Description of Change: Upgrading Finance and Finance SSB 8.4 – Banner Finance users and jobs will be impacted during this time.
On Thursday April 14th starting at 5:00pm through 8:00pm CSI will be performing system maintenance on our Xpressions (voicemail) servers. During this timeframe users located in the Culture and Society Building, New College of Engineering, and Davie West will be unable to leave or retrieve messages.
The FAU Self-Service and Banner systems will be unavailable on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as Banner undergoes an Oracle database upgrade. This will affect the following services:
* Banner Forms (INB) access * FAU Self-Service (including registration, transcripts, grades and payments)
Network connectivity has been lost to NWRDC. Their phones also appears to be down. Network is looking into the issue.

We will be performing preventative maintenance on Blackboard between 3am and 5am Tuesday February 21st, 2011. We do not expect Blackboard to be unavailable during this process.
