Several Canvas functions are currently experiencing issues. Users may experience errors accessing several parts of the Canvas LMS and its integrations (e.g., Mediasite, Lucid, Follett, etc.). [RESOLVED] Microsoft Copilot Service Issues
Update 10/30/2025 @ 1:30 am: The issue with Microsoft Copilot has been resolved.
Users may experience difficulties accessing Microsoft Copilot Chat, particularly when using a web browser. Microsoft has confirmed this is a widespread issue affecting many users. We will provide additional updates as soon as they become available.
[RESOLVED] Canvas Log In Issues
Canvas is showing a “Failed to Log In” error message for users. Our team is aware of the issue and working to resolve as soon as possible.

[RESOLVED] AWS Outage Affecting Canvas
Due to an ongoing incident with Amazon Web Services, users may experience error messages when trying to access Canvas.

Microsoft Entra MFA / Microsoft Authenticator replacing Duo
Starting Today, September 16th, Florida Atlantic University will begin transitioning Employees from DUO to Microsoft Entra MFA for secure login to Microsoft applications.
What’s Happening:
- Employees will begin seeing a 4P prompt to setup the Microsoft Authenticator when signing into FAU Services.
- After enrolling, Entra MFA will be activated for all Microsoft apps (Outlook, Teams, Office 365, etc.). Duo will remain for non-Microsoft logins until we fully transition in the next few months.
What You Need to Know:
- You can choose from:
- Microsoft Authenticator app (recommended)
- Hardware token (e.g., YubiKey)
- SMS text message
- Additional options coming soon

[Resolved] Mediasite playback
Mediasite is aware of issues impacting video playback in the Video Cloud environment. Mitigation steps have been taken, and there has been no occurrence of the issue over the past several hours. Playback is currently functioning normally at this time.

Yesterday’s service degradation appears to have been mitigated, although Zoom is still reporting sluggishness with Zoom Whiteboards.
