The Banner production INB and SSB Web Servers will be migrated from OAS 10g to Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g (WebLogic) tomorrow morning, Thursday 6/21/2012 between 5:00AM – 7:00AM. Prior to logging into Banner INB or SSB, you will need to clear out the Java cache on your workstation.

The following steps are for clearing out your Java cache:

1. Close down all web browser windows.

2. Go into your workstation’s control panel.

3. In upper right corner of window, select ‘Large icons’ in the drop down options for the ‘View by:’

4. Select ‘Java’

5. In the ‘General’ tab, click the ‘Settings . . . ‘ button in the ‘Temporary Internet Files’ section.

6. Click the ‘Delete Files . . .’ button in the ‘Disk Space’ section.

7. Click the ‘OK’ button in the ‘Delete Temporary Files’ window (both check boxes should be checked).

8. Click the ‘OK’ button in the ‘Temporary Files Settings’ window.

9. Click the ‘OK’ button in the ‘Java Control Panel’ window.

10. Close the ‘Control Panel’ window.

11. Start up your web browser.

Telecommunications will be testing the phone system on the Jupiter campus on Friday June 22nd from 6pm until 9pm. During this time period there will be intermittent outages to telephones on the Jupiter campus. In case of emergency please use a cellular or non FAU phone to dial 911. We are updating our videoconferencing management system today. There may be intermittent downtime of some of our videoconferencing back-end servers. There are no conferences scheduled for today that will be affected. We should still be able to connect in conferences during this time if any are requested.

Telecommunications will be performing an emergency reboot of the Xpressions/Voicemail servers in tomorrow’s maintenance window. This reboot will take place between 5am and 7am and during that time users will not be able to listen to or leave messages on the system.

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/14/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 4:30-6:00 AM
Affected services: EMS
Affected systems: sql05vs, fauweb1
Description: EMS has released monthly patches for EMS, VirtualEMS, and MasterCalender, apps and databases. Also the Plan a meeting web service will be installed on fauweb1 in the EMS site.
User Impact: EMS will be online, but some user sessions may be interrupted during service restarts.

Description of maintenance: Part one of the Exchange 2012 to Exchange 2012 SP2 upgrade. Systems will be upgrading the inactive Exchange servers from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2010 SP2
User impact: None

When: Wednesday May 30^th 2012, 3:00 am – 5:00 am
Affected services:  Microsoft Exchange
Affected systems:  Microsoft Exchange Cluster
Description of maintenance: Part two of Exchange 2012 to Exchange 2012 SP2 upgrade. Systems will first move all users to the machines upgraded on Wednesday Morning and then proceed with upgrading the remaining servers to Exchange 2010 SP2.
User impact: None

Networking: network connectivity issue between campuses has been resolved
