Intermittent issues with online help desk system (Parature)

We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with Parature, our online help desk system. We are experiencing slowness as well as unspecified error messages. Our vendor is working to resolve the issue and we hope it is resolved quickly. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Resolved – e-print server not accessible

This morning we had a problem with the e-print server not able to be reached. Users who tried accessing it received an HTTP 500 internal server error message. Middleware/e-print support was contacted and the issue has been resolved. The e-print server is now reachable once again.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thursday, March 29 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 03/29/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window.  In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

When: 4:00 AM – 4:30 AM
Affected services:  Blackboard, Identity Manager (IDM) Affected systems:  bbloracle, boc22ora03
Description:  The Blackboard and IDM database instances need to be restarted to correct a directory mount option to ensure daily backups occur.
User Impact: Blackboard and IDM will be unavailable at this time.

When: 4:30 AM – 5:00 AM
Affected services:  Banner
Affected systems:  bannerprd, sctcache1, sctcache2
Description:  The Banner database instance needs to be restarted to correct a directory mount option to ensure daily backups occur.
User Impact: Banner will be offline during this time.

When: 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM
Affected services:  MyFAU
Affected systems:  mcsource
Description:  An offline ldap re-indexing will take place in preparation for next week’s registration period.
User Impact: MyFAU will be unavailable during this time.  Mail delivery will be queued for all MyFAU and Google users.

Resolved – ibiweb and bits

Ibiweb and bits website went down earlier tonight. The issue has been resolved – Ibiweb has returned to service.

Banner production FAUP unavailable Thursday 3/29/2012 4:30am – 5:00am

Banner production FAUP will be unavailable this Thursday 3/29/2012 from 4:30am to 5:00am. The production Linux server, bannerprd, will be shut down during this time in order to fix a backup issue.

Network: Network maintenance completed. We had issues with the VPN on the ASA. There was an issue with the certificates. We have resolved the issue.

Network maintenance Monday, March 26 between 5 am and 7 am

Network: Network maintenance Monday, March 26 between 5 am and 7 am. This will have temporary interruption of VPN while on of the ASAs are being replaced. Those who have been disconnected while the maintenance occur will be able to reconnect as there is a redundant ASA for VPN.

Completed Network Maintenance Building 04 Wednesday 03/21/2012 and Thursday 03/22/2012

Networking will be upgrading the network equipment in building 04 during the maintenance window 5:00am to 7:00am Wednesday 03/21/2012 and Thursday 03/22/2012. No service outage during normal business hours is expected.
