Blackboard was offline between 8:45 pm and 9:30 pm. Same problem as earlier. We are still awaiting a solution from the manufacturer.

Blackboard was offline between 12:45 pm and 1 pm this afternoon. We are investigating why the service stopped responding.

Blackboard is currently down, we are working to restore service.

Our estimate to complete the Banner Production maintenance is 9:00am. In the meantime, the process may impact response time, specifically with Financial Aid and payments.

We are currently experiencing a problem with Xpressions, we have escalated this to the vendor.

The pop mail server was restarted and is now functioning.

Mail should now begin flowing for users that use the either pop.fau.edu or faumail.fau.edu as their  pop server settings.

Network: Resolved – Network issue with Boca Video network resolved.

Videoconferencing services is currently down to an unplanned outage.

We are currently investigating to determine the root cause of the outage.

Description of Maintenance: Update CAS login screen to introduce new images, CAS will be offline for a brief period of time during the update.

Description of Maintenance: The DHCP logger has been creating a high CPU load on the network registration servers. We will be updating the method used to submit SQL to the server which will eliminate the problem. While we are updating the logger no MAC addresses will automatically be collected by the registration system.

Description of Maintenance: Banner General 8.4.2 upgrade
Service Interruption: No interruption unless a user has locked one of the tables to be upgraded. Then that user will be terminated.

The WordPress server was successfully upgraded to PHP version 5.2 to allow for compatibility with future software updates.

Description of Maintenance: We will be upgrading PHP to version 5.2.4 on the WordPress (http://wordpress.fau.edu) box. The upgraded version of PHP is required for newer releases of the WordPress blog.
