Affected services: All login systems that utilize SSO.fau.edu including Blackboard, Workday, Office 365, Outlook 365, Owl Apps (Google Applications), and many others.
Affected systems: shibboleth1, shibboleth2, cas1, cas2, BigIP
Description of maintenance: The University Single Sign On infrastructure will be patched to provide enhanced usability for Office 365, Student Onboarding and better integration with legacy single sign on systems.
User impact: Single Sign On will be intermittently available during the upgrade. ​

[COMPLETED] – Emergency Maintenance – FAU Account Self-Services

Description of maintenance: This feature ensures account policies continue to exist for student accounts accessing gmail services when they are no longer enrolled in courses.
User impact: None, this feature is being turned on in preparation of migrating away from Waveset.

Description of maintenance: Applying Oracle PSU to DB’s on host bbloracle.
User impact: Blackboard will become temporarily unavailable during the maintenance window.​

Description of maintenance: Applying Oracle PSU to DB’s on hosts bannerprd and odsprod.
User impact: Users will be unable to login to Banner or ODS during the period the database is offline. This should be no longer than 1 hour.

User impact: The OIM system will be unavailable for a short period. During this time, account changes will not be processed and the self-service interface will be unavailable.​

Description of maintenance: The College of Medicine is mandating that email sent from @health.fau.edu addresses have a disclaimer appended to the message​
User impact: After the change emails sent from @health.fau.edu will contain an appended disclaimer​

Update requirements for the Data loss prevention (DLP) rules for Office 365 users

When: 6:00AM – 6:10AM
Affected services: Office 365 email
Affected systems: Office365
Description of maintenance: OIT will be changing the Data loss prevention (DLP) policies for all Office 365 users to restrict sending of drivers license and credit card numbers in addition to SSN and DEA Number of occurances of 5 or more​
User impact: SSN, DEA Number, credit card and driver’s license pattern matching will warn the user but allow the mail to be sent if it contains 1-4 occurences and block, but allow the user to override if it contains 5 or more occurences

Emergency Authentication System Maintenance, Tuesday, July 19 from 11:00PM to 1:00AM

The single sign-on system will be partially unavailable from 11:00 pm Tuesday July 19th, 2016 to 1:00 am Wednesday July 20th, 2016. While the maintenance is in progress users may intermittently experience difficulty logging into services such as Blackboard, Self Service, Office 365, Owlapps, and Workday.

Description of maintenance: OIT will increase the size for the transfer share on andisec
User impact: All SMB and SFTP shares on andisec will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Jobs that are connected to andisec will need to be restarted once andisec is available again.

[RESOLVED] – Issues with Office365 applications (Email, Skype for Business, SharePoint)

We are currently experiencing some connectivity issues with Office365 applications, such as email, Skype for Business, and SharePoint. We are investigating the issue and have contacted Microsoft for assistance in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
