Canvas is fully functional.
Several Canvas functions are currently experiencing issues. Users may experience errors accessing several parts of the Canvas LMS and its integrations (e.g., Mediasite, Lucid, Follett, etc.). Instructure is investigating to restore functionality as soon as possible. Updates will be provided on this post. For more info, visit Instructure’s status page.
The University forms service experienced a temporary outage this morning. The service has been restored and is operating normally. If you encountered an error, please retry submitting your form or logging back into the system.
Update 10/30/2025 @ 1:30 am: The issue with Microsoft Copilot has been resolved.
Users may experience difficulties accessing Microsoft Copilot Chat, particularly when using a web browser. Microsoft has confirmed this is a widespread issue affecting many users. We will provide additional updates as soon as they become available.
Due to an ongoing incident with Amazon Web Services, users may experience error messages when trying to access Canvas.
Update: Canvas is reporting the site is now operational following today’s AWS outage. Thank you for your patience as services were restored. If you continue to experience any issues, please contact the OIT Help Desk.
The issues with Microsoft services have been resolved.
We have identified an issue with Duo Authentication when signing into Office Apps on Windows computers. After Duo, the application just hangs and you are unable to activate Office. We are currently investigating.

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Wednesday and Thursday, 9/17/2025 – 9/18/2025 from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. Cisco Voice Cluster Upgrade
The Cisco voice cluster will be upgraded over the following two weeks.
Scheduled Time: Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 09:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Impacted Services: Cisco phones
End User Impact: Users will be unable to use their Cisco phones at certain points during the upgrade.
Cisco Finesse call centers are currently unavailable. Users are unable to sign-in to the system. We are investigating and will post an update as soon as possible.
