OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. Feb 4 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 02/04/2021 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of change: OIT will make changes needed to fix a filter.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, no end-user impact is expected.

Voice Mail Server Maintenance
Description of change: ​OIT will be upgrading the software on the voicemail servers.

Downtime window end: 2/5/2021 12:00 AM
Affected services: ​Voice Mail and Voice Directory
Expected End-user impact: During this time, there will be approximately 1-2 minutes where callers will be unable to leave a voicemail or access the voice directory.

Frevvo Production Server Update
Description of change: OIT will update Frevvo Forms Server to the newest version.

Downtime window end: 2/4/2021 7:00 AM
Affected services: ​Frevvo forms server, Admission Application Forms, COVID Attestation Form​
Expected End-user impact: During this time, ​University forms will be offline. Users should be directed to try to submit again after the maintenance window.

Description of change: ​​OIT will be upgrading the operating system on 2 of its authentication servers.

Expected End-user impact: During this time, authentication to AD may be delayed. There might be intermittent authentication issues on the Jupiter campus.

[Resolved] AT&T Outage affecting phone service

Our service provider AT&T is currently experiencing a widespread outage which is affecting phone and internet service. On campus phones, as well as AT&T cell phones may be affected. They are working to resolve and we will update as we receive additional information.

We have recieved multiple reports of being unable to email gmail users. Google status does show they are currently experiencing a disruption with their gmail services.

We will continue to monitor and update as we receive additional information.

[RESOLVED] TouchNet Systems Maintenance, Friday, October 23rd from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

[RESOLVED] The TouchNet payment processing system will be undergoing maintenance -Starting from 3:00am to 7:00am (EST) Friday, October 23th. This affects student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services. We expect all systems to be back online no later than 7:00 am (EST) that morning. When the system is back up and ready to go, we will notify you. You may wish to place warnings on your website, or take your store offline. If this scheduled downtime creates a conflict for your operations, please feel free to contact us at FIS@fau.edu for further discussion. Expected End-user impact: During this time all student payment services (Bill+Payment), as well as all Marketplace Stores, uPay sites and TouchNet ready partner payment services will be unavailable during this maintenance cycle.

[Resolved]Remote Desktop issues

We have identified the issue and it has been resolved. Please reboot your laptop or home computer, connect to VPN, and then try to Remote Desktop to your computer again.

Global CenturyLink internet Outage may affect access to some FAU services

Global CenturyLink internet Outage may affect access to some FAU services such as Workday and Duo Mobile. It appears to be impacting Comcast/Xfinity customers with some services.

We are monitoring the situation and will update as soon as more information is available.
