Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 11/01/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Description of maintenance: Apply Blackboard Patchset2 as well as supplementary patches.
User impact: Blackboard will not be available during the proposed downtime.
When: 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM

Affected systems: Talisma
Description of maintenance: Install hotfix to talisma to fix an outgoing email issue.
User impact: Talisma will not be operable. Any users trying to send emails out from talisma at the time will not be delivered. Users will have to update their clients to the newest hotfix to be able to use client. They will be informed via admissions office on where to download and apply the hotfix.
When: 6:00 am to 6:30am
Affected Services: Secure ANDI server and 80_SU desktops
Affected Systems: FAU\BOC\80_SU desktops
Description of Maintenance: We will be adding a new GPO to enable IPsec communication between 80_SU desktops and the secure ANDI server
User impact: None
The ePrint server maintenance has been rescheduled for 8:00am Saturday, 11/10/2012 through 8:00pm Sunday, 11/11/2012. ePrint will be unavailable during this time.
The ePrint server is scheduled for maintenance starting 8:00am this Saturday, 11/3/2012 through 8:00pm Sunday, 11/4/2012. ePrint will be unavailable during this time.
There is currently a network outage on the Boca Raton campus that is affecting building 69. The outage is due to loss of light on the fiber uplink. We are working to resolve the problem.

Affected systems: Admissions Application System
Description of maintenance: The Admissions application system will be upgraded to support Letters of Recommendation and an improved administrator and end user interface.
User impact: Graduate College applicants will not be able to create or manage admissions applications. Undergraduate Admissions applications and fees will be delayed and processed after 6:00 AM.
When: 3:00 AM – 4:30 AM

User impact: Blackboard will not be available during the proposed downtime.
Central Authentication Service must be restarted to improve Blackboard reliability. Users may experience approximately 1 minute of service interuption.
