The networking issue in Building 88 Parking II has been resolved.
There is a networking issue in Building 88 Parking II. This outage affects multiple buildings on campus (buildings 56 – 62, 75, 79, 80, 84, 88, Research Park, T5, T6, T10, T11, and some of the phone systems in that area).
We are working to correct the issue.

Employee Self-Service 8.7.0 has been installed into Banner production FAUP this morning.
DHCP was offline for 35 minutes from 2 pm – 2:35 pm. This affected clients requesting new ip addresses and would not have affected any machines that were online before 2 pm today. If you have any questions please contact User Services.

This is a reminder that the ePrint server maintenance is scheduled for 8:00am Saturday, 11/10/2012 through 8:00pm Sunday, 11/11/2012. ePrint will be unavailable during this time.
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 11/08/2012 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
When: 3:00am – 4:30am
Affected Services: Exchange email
Affected Systems: exchangeca01, exchangeca02, exchangemb03
Description of Maintenance: 10GbE network cards will be installed on both Exchange front ends and offline mailbox server. Memory will also be upgraded in the mailbox server.
User impact: Some users may experience Outlook disconnects but will be reconnected, otherwise no other impact expected. One of the two front ends will be up at all times holding the load balanced name. All active mailbox servers will also be up.
When: 11/8/12 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM
Affected Services: DHCP, Blackboard, IDM, Network Registration, Graduate Application

Description of Maintenance: The systems will be updated to the 6.3 version of Scientific Linux (frevvo1 will be updated to Oracle Linux 6.3)
User impact: Intermittent loss of service is expected for DHCP on Davie and Jupiter campuses and Graduate Application between 3:00AM and 6:00AM. Blackboard, IDM and NetReg may be unavailable for short periods of time, but this is unexpected.

Description of Maintenance: Routine reboots for linux patches to take effect.
User impact: End users may notice that some public webpages that depend on mysql will not load properly, omniupdate staging will not be available, and wordpress will not be available during those machines’ reboot period. Reboots should happen within 10 minutes so interference should be minimal.

Description: Enabling windows authentication in IIS for EMS Web client.
User Impact: EMS web client users will be prompted for authentication from IIS for their FAUNet ID account.

Description of maintenance: A software upgrade for the Boca VOIP Servers will be installed.
User impact: There will be no interruption in voice services during this upgrade.
Network has completed switch upgrade in Jupiter bldg. MC 02 / AD
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine network maintenance which includes rebooting the network switch in the Administration building (MC02) on Jupiter Campus on Wednesday, 11/07/2012 from 6:00am to 7:30am. All network connected systems in Jupiter Administration building (MC02) will be affected during this maintenance.
