Respondus Senior Technical Support was able to resolve the issue related to network update and students will now be able to use LockDown Browser-Macintosh to write their exams.
There is an issue with LockDown Browser-Macintosh users encountering an “Unable to check for available updates. The data received was invalid or corrupt.” error. Respondus Senior Technical Support is looking into the issue at this time.
Users should be able to resolve the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of the Lockdown Browser which can be found here
Meanwhile for students unable to update their Lockdown Browser, who may need to complete a final exam in the next few hours, we recommend that they use LockDown Browser-Windows. Lockdown Browser is available in Most Campus Labs.
