Network Maintenance – Sunday June 22nd from 4:00a.m. until 5:00a.m.
OIT will be performing network maintenance on Sunday June 22nd from 4:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m. During this time, there will be a network interruption lasting between 15-20 minutes which will affect connectivity between FAU and the Internet. This interruption in service will affect many campus network-based resources including Blackboard and streaming media.
Banner production unavailable during Fiscal Year End Roll Phase I
Banner production FAUP will be unavailable from 12:00am to 10:00am Friday 27 June 2014 in order to complete Phase I of the fiscal year end roll process.

OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. June 19 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 06/19/2014 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Affected services: DHCP, DNS, and network authentication services on the HBOI campus
Affected systems: VMJUP
Description of maintenance: Replace battery and failed disk in HBOI network support server.The PERC battery and one of the SAS disks have failed in the HBOI network support server. Both need to be replaced.
User impact: Users at the HBOI campus may have trouble getting a DHCP address or resolving DNS if their only DNS entry is pointing 131.91.213.91. Netreg will not be available during the downtime window.

Description of maintenance: OIT will be replcaing a failed battery on one of the University mail servers. No end-user impact is expected.

We are currently experiencing network interruptions. This impacts our major services, such as Banner, Blackboard, MyFAU, and SSO (Single-Sign On).

Affected services: IRM WordPress blog (OIT Status)
Affected systems: N/A
Description of maintenance: Renaming IRM WordPress blog to OIT. We will be switching over the IRM WordPress instance to the Multisite instance because the current install is out of date. All traffic previously going to http://wordpress.fau.edu/irm/ will be redirected go to http://wordpress.fau.edu/oit/.
User impact: Users may not be able to get to the blog during the switch.

BARR Print Services Host Upgrade from 9AM to 12PM 6/10/14.
OIT is upgrading the BARR print server this morning. Print jobs that are run from the mainframe in Tallahassee will not print during the upgrade process. Once the upgrade is complete any print jobs submitted during the upgrade window will continue printing.
