Blackboard Assignment Tool Currently Unavailable

The Blackboard Assignment tool is currently unavailable. Students may receive error messages while trying to submit their assignment. Instructors may receive an error message while attempting to view assignment submissions via the Grade Center or Needs Grading area.

We are currently working to resolve the issue.

[Resolved] Lists.fau.edu error messages

Many mailing list owners may have received numerous (400+) error messages sent from sympa@lists.fau.edu. The messages are automatically generated by Lists.fau.edu when a user’s email address is updated and may be ignored. Please note we are investigating a way to prevent these warnings in the future.

Example Message:

User {netid}@fau.edu could not change his member email address (new email address is {netid}@health.fau.edu) because he is included via a the following data sources: …

If you are able to do so, you should probably update these data sources with
this person’s new email address.

VIP Document management system is not functioning properly

** update:  Users can now see other document classes now via a workaround, but the problem has not been fully resolved yet.

 

Users are currently unable to view any student records except for the ones in the FERPA document class.   Systems is aware and is currently attempting to work with the vendor on the problem.   ETA not available at this time.

The FAU automated campus operator, also known as IntelliSpeech, is experiencing a problem with one of the hardware nodes.  We are experiencing intermittent issues with incoming calls that are routed to this number.  We are working with the vendor to resolve this issue.

[RESOLVED]Fort Lauderdale authentication and infrastructure support systems down

**Update 11:53AM – We removed a defective CPU from the system and all services are back and running on the remaining CPU. These services may run slightly slower on FTL campus until we can replace the defective CPU next week.

 

We are experiencing a hardware issue with the system that supports Windows authentication as well as DHCP and DNS at the Fort Lauderdale campus. These services at FTL are currently being supported by other campuses and we expect no end-user impact at this time. We are working to resolve this issue and will update when we have more information.
