OIT Systems Maintenance, Thurs. April 2 from 3:00AM to 7:00AM

Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on Thursday, 04/02/2015 from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:

Office365 and Single-Sign on integration
When: 4:00AM – 5:00AM
Affected services: Office 365, Outlook on 365, Health on 365, Microsoft Azure
Affected systems: ​adfs.fau.edu and its cluster members
Description of maintenance: ​Configure Office365 to use sso.fau.edu for authentication. This will allow users visiting various systems include Blackboard and MyFAU to directly access Office365 without needed to enter their password again.
User impact: There will be no downtime. Users will be able to access Office365 services without reauthenticating after logining into any Single Sign On Service such as Blackboard and MyFAU

Upgrade Identity Manager to Google Applications Connection
When: 3:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: Identity Manager and Google Appplications​
Affected systems: ​idm1, idm2, idm4p​
Description of maintenance: We will be upgrading the connection between Google Applications and Identity Manager
User impact: User accounts and password syncronizations will be delayed during the maintenance window.

Rebalance electrical loads in NTS datacenter.
When: 3:00AM – 6:00AM
Affected services: DNS/DHCP/LDAP/AD, all NTS services, HPC camera recording, all Codian services on the Jupiter campus, Facilities’ ESX instance.
Affected systems: ​Jup17HV01&02, JUPDCFAU01 and JUPDCIRM01, all NTS servers, Codian devices, HPC camera systems, facilities ESX server.
Description of maintenance: Currently B phase is handling the majority of the electrical load in RF219. We will be shutting down all systems in that room and redistributing the load equally to phase A, B, and C. Once the loads have been shifted, we will power all systems back up.
User impact: All services related to DHCP/DNS/LDAP, authentication, NTS services, Codian services, and HPC camera recording will be unavailable.

Oracle Patchset Installation
When: 3:00AM – 5:00AM
Affected services: ​Banner Production (FAUP)
Affected systems: ​bannerprd, bannerprddr
Description of maintenance: Install ​latest Oracle patchset for production databases
User impact: User may report that they are not able to login to one or more of the affected systems.

When: 3:00AM – 5:00AM
Affected services: Resource25 (R25B) and IEA Reporting Database (IEAP)
Affected systems: ​boc22ora05.fau.edu​
Description of maintenance: Adding additional CPU and RAM to virtual machine.​
User impact: Services may be unavaialble during the window

Banner Financial Aid 8.22.1.1 upgrade and 8.22.1 patches
When: 3:00AM – 7:00AM
Affected services: None
Affected systems: ​Banner Financial Aid
Description of maintenance: ​Install Banner Financial Aid 8.22.1.1 upgrade and 8.22.1.1 and 8.22.1.2 patches to Production.
User impact: No end-user impact is expected
